Chris Zane
Chris Zane is an American music producer, engineer and mixer based in New York City. He's worked with an array of artists such as The Walkmen, Holy Ghost!, Passion Pit and Friendly Fires.
==Biography==
Zane studied music most of his life, his principal instrument is the drums. He attended music school for a brief period before turning his focus to studio work. Whilst he still plays on the occasional project of which he's producing, his focus has become more centered on production and programming. Zane began his production career in 2000 in NYC recording bands including Ambulance Ltd, Calla, and Les Savy Fav. In 2008 he recorded and mixed The Walkmen's (You & Me ), produced a song on Tokyo Police Club's debut album Elephant Shell, and spent some time in Berlin producing UK rock band The Rakes' final album KLANG. In late fall of 2008 through early winter of 2009 he produced the critically acclaimed debut album Manners by Passion Pit. The last few years has seen him produce records for Holy Ghost!, Friendly Fires, New Zealand pop songstress Ruby Frost, and Devin. In 2012 Zane co-wrote and co-produced the song "Circles" with Michael Angelakos, for Nelly Furtado, as well as produced, mixed and played drums on, the highly anticipated sophomore album Gossamer by Passion Pit. Currently he has just finished producing the début album for Pacific Air, mixing an album for Australian band Jinja Safari, and producing some songs for UK pop singer Chlöe Howl.
